The Wilton Windmill
The only operating windmill in Wessex, set in a stunning dark sky location in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Wiltshire. Located at the eastern end of the stunningly beautiful Pewsey Vale, and at the heart of the Great West Way.
Wilton Windmill is open every year from Easter to the end of September on Sundays and Bank Holidays from 2pm to 5pm (last entry at 4.30pm). At these times the windmill building is open for guided tours and you can visit inside the Granary. The shepherd’s hut shop offers refreshments and gifts and provides a warm seating area.

Location
Wilton Windmill is located on the edge of the village of Wilton, near Marlborough (not Salisbury!) off the A338 between Hungerford and Burbage in Wiltshire. The postcode for satnav purposes is SN8 3SW. The Windmill is approx. 7 miles from Hungerford Town Centre and is a 12 minute drive. You could of course walk which would take you over 2 hours.
